Operations Manager

Amsterdam Office

As Operations Manager for Flagship Amsterdam you are part of a growing team, where you lead the operations trainees, skippers, hosts & quay employees. What will you do in this role? 

To succeed in this role, you need to have a hands-on mentality, be flexible, and be able to switch quickly in potentially stressful situations.

  • Act as a point of contact in case of problems;
  • Create schedules, ensure communication by the use of different means and ensure a proportionate commitment of employees;
  • Manage and instruct trainees, skippers, hosts and quay staff;
  • Informe employees about issues that play a role within the organization;
  • Handle phone calls and emails;
  • Ensure a clean and tidy office;
  • Ensure that dinner is delivered to the employees;
  • Handling and responding to guest complaints and feedback;
  • Adjusting content and capacity in our booking system;
  • (Re)book or refund guests via our booking system;
  • Being the point of contact for the staff;
  • Checking and recording the working hours, sick leave and annual leave days of the staff in the personnel system;
  • Dockside work such as welcoming guests, checking tickets and providing guests with information

Job requirements

  • A relevant completed bachelor or master, for example in business administration, hospitality, tourism;
  • Good oral and written command of the Dutch and English language;
  • Living in Amsterdam;
  • Highly motivated person with a hands-on mentality;
  • Prioritize essential tasks in a very fast-paced environment;
  • Strong relationship and communication skills.

A plus:

Experience in a scale-up environment within the tourism sector.
