Giethoorn is famous for its picturesque canals, charming wooden bridges and traditional thatched roof houses. Because there are very few roads in the village center and many areas can only be reached by boat or on foot, Giethoorn is often called the “Venice of the Netherlands”.

You’ll have approximately 4.5 hours to explore Giethoorn at your own pace. During this time, you’ll receive your own self guided boat, enjoy the canals, visit local cafés and shops, and discover the village’s unique atmosphere.

The tour departs at 9:30 AM from Market 27, Termini 27, 1025 XM Amsterdam. The location is easily accessible by metro via the North South Line (M52), with Noord Station just a short walk away.

The tour departs from Giethoorn at 3:30 PM and arrives back in Amsterdam at approximately 5:00 PM.
