Not necessarily. You are provided with professional long-handle nets, grabbers, and protective gloves, so you don’t need to touch the trash with your bare hands. It is a clean way to do a dirty job. However, we recommend wearing comfortable casual clothing just in case of minor splashes.

A popular “Pro Tip” from our event planners is to follow the clean-up with a reward. After the Plastic Fishing, you can transfer to one of our luxury saloon boats for a Drinks & Bites Cruise or a dinner. It’s the perfect “work hard, play hard” combination.

Yes, every boat comes with an experienced skipper who navigates the canals and, often, a guide/facilitator who helps spot trash and keeps the energy high. They also provide interesting facts about the city and the environmental challenges the canals face.

We have several docking locations in the city center, including near Central Station and the Anne Frank House. The specific starting point can often be adjusted to suit your previous activity or hotel location. We will confirm the exact dock upon booking.

Our electric sloops are open to facilitate the fishing, but in case of light rain, we can provide ponchos. If the weather is severe, we can discuss rescheduling or moving your group to a covered boat for a standard tour (though fishing is difficult from a covered boat). We always monitor the forecast closely.
